12/20/24 | ORAL ORDER: The court has issued findings of fact and conclusions of law finding that the defendants are liable for infringing a valid patent owned by the plaintiff. The court will therefore need to schedule further proceedings on the issue of damages and any other relief to which the plaintiff may be entitled. The parties are directed to meet and confer to propose scheduling for the remedies phase of the case, including possible dates for the trial on remedies. By December 30, 2024, the parties are directed to submit a proposed scheduling order for the further proceedings in this case. With respect to the trial date, the parties are directed to submit a list of three possible weeks during which the remedies trial can be held. The parties' proposed weeks for trial should be prior to December 1, 2025. The weeks should not include the first full week of any month, which is when I sit in the court of appeals. The date should also not include any week in September 2025.
