DECISION AND ORDER terminating 429 Letter Motion for Leave to File Document; terminating 443 Motion to Vacate ; terminating 450 Motion for Judgment as a Matter of Law; denying 500 Motion for Judgment as a Matter of Law ; granting 503 Motion for Permanent Injunction; terminating 506 Motion for Judgment as a Matter of Law; denying 510 Motion for Attorney Fees; terminating 530 Motion for Leave to File Document; terminating 532 Motion for Leave to File Document. For the foregoing reasons: 1.GeigTech's motion for attorney's fees is DENIED. 2.GeigTech's motion for a permanent injunction is GRANTED. 3.Lutron's motions for attorney's fees and JMOL are DENIED. 4.Lutron's new trial motion is DENIED as to patent infringement, willful infringement, defamation, and invalidity, but GRANTED as to damages. The court sets aside the jury's damages award of $34.6 Million, and grants an order of remittitur in the sum of $3,843,986. If GeigTech does not agree to accept the remittitur within fourteen business days from the date this decision issues, we will schedule a damages trial for this fall. 5.GeigTech's motion for enhanced damages is dismissed without prejudice to renewal after damages are set either by acceptance of the remittitur or at a new trial. The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to close the open motions at Dkt. Nos. 429, 443, 450, 500, 503, 506, 508, 510, 530, and 532. (Signed by Judge Colleen McMahon on 7/30/24) BY ECF TO ALL COUNSEL. (yv) (Entered: 07/30/2024)
