Kness: Before the Court is Plaintiff's motion [Dkt. 15] for entry of default against Defendant Nanyang Jianling Trading Co. Ltd. The Court previously informed Defendant that a company cannot appear pro se and gave Defendant until December 2, 2024 to obtain a lawyer, appear through counsel, and file an answer to Plaintiff's Complaint. [Dkt. 13.] That deadline has now passed without Defendant's compliance. Accordingly, for the reasons stated previously (see Dkt. [13] , [16] ), default is entered against Defendant under Rule 55(a) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Any motion for entry of a default judgment, with any supporting materials, must be filed on or before 1/6/2025. Within seven days of filing, Plaintiff must (by certified mail, email, or other reliable method) provide Defendant with both a copy of this order of default and Plaintiff's motion for default judgment (if any) and must file proof of service of those documents within three business days.
